The entire school recently met in the assembly hall to celebrate Book Week 2014. As students entered the hall, they were given half of a book cover. They then had to find another student who was in possession of the second half of the cover. Once paired, the students had to find the original book which was placed on the stage steps. Older students then read the book to their younger partner. This was a very successful and happy activity that focused attention on the importance of reading.
